Music as it pertains to the Artist and the Listener…
I come in contact with many people on the net who have a passion for the creative arts and many of our featured Cam Chat Hotties are artists as well…I recently wrote a piece on music and how it pertains to the artist and the listener…I thought I’d share it with all of you…I hope you enjoy the read…Much love! ~Candy~
Music, what is it? Just imagine, for a second, what life would be like without, music?
Music is limitless, free, it has no boundaries, we see, hear, touch, and feel an abundance of it. In many different variations often times consuming us in thought, at heart, in love, in hate, in anger, in fear. It can drive our emotions, rearrange them, heal them, darken them, lighten them, and even cleanse them.
It will accompany the human emotion on many different levels….
Music is the vibrance of life: like the root to the tree, food to the body. It feeds our souls. We hunger for it and when we can’t hear it or compose it, we ache for it.
So who is the artist? The Artist is the Creator.
Somewhat godlike we listen closely, we admire, respect, and adore them. We look to them wondering what their next great creation will be:
To guide us on our journeys, walk us down our paths, give our lives more depth, a powerful meaning, and a better sense of direction.
Yet when we, as the listener, hear the music, do we ever see the artist as an individual, away from the music, away from the lyric, and off of the stage? Do we ever really know that person on the inside?
The truth is no we don’t, not really. We hear a melody, we listen to the lyrics, we sing their songs. We spread their emotion by sharing their music, and we fall in love with their creations. We interpret their emotions into our own emotions, the song becomes a memory for a moment in our lives, and somewhere down the road that artist is never really known as the individual he or she really was.
This is why I say, “they are somewhat godlike”. A creator of something so beautiful that it doesn’t matter what they look like, how old, young, gay or straight they are. Who cares anymore which part of the world they were born in or what color of skin they have, how ugly, or how beautiful they are. Let’s be honest, do you check their religious backgrounds before you download the songs to your hard drive, pop in a cd, or go to a concert? How many times have you heard a song in another language that you didn’t understand the lyrics to, but it grabbed your attention and left your soul at peace? When we hear the music, and love what we hear, our human differences become irrelevant to us.
So this is what I think to myself; if we can accept each others differences where music is concerned, loving the artists creations, then why can’t we accept those differences in all aspects of life?
I believe it’s possible for the world to achieve a higher level of consciousness, through the Unity of this Universal Language called Music. I believe it is happening now, and that it will continue to happen throughout the course of time…
I’ve noticed, over the past few years, that independent artists of today are taking a stand for the future of music. I think that in the near future the differences will fade away completely and music will once again be seen for what it truly is, a freeform expression of creativity, Art, as expressed through the soul of the Artist. No longer will we let it be overproduced and refined by big jaded CEO’s in the creative art’s industry of today. Once again the listener, will be able to expand their minds to think outside of the box, and learn to appreciate the true raw talent of the creator, the Independant Artist.
As Bruce Maier say’s, “Remember, It’s all about the music!”
And as I say…It’s time to take the music back!
When you really listen, music teaches a lot…Knowledge is the key to wisdom and wisdom is Freedom!
Like the plant that grows from the smallest seed…
Music is what fertilizes the seed, that grows the soul, which creates an individual…Music is God, God is Music, We are God, God is us, Creators in and of creation we are ONE…It all adds up to Art, in it’s finest!
